Walk by some of the 15,000 paintings and inscriptions found in Pompeii and nearby Herculaneum that reveal an astonishing similarity to modern times: public notices about wine sales, apartment vacancies and upcoming events (theater performances and gladiator fights); political announcements: personal love notes and sexual innuendoes.

Drive to the enchanting village of Sorrento where you can relax and enjoy an Italian lunch, then stop at the old center of town where you can spend some free time strolling through the narrow alleys, exploring the town’s churches or browsing through the shops.
