Cruise Connections attended the Cruise3sixty Conference in
Vancouver, British Columbia
on June 2-6, 2010

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is the world’s largest cruise association, comprising of 25 major cruise lines worldwide, and their Cruise3sixty Conference and Trade Show is the industry’s “must-attend” event.

Now in its sixth year, Cruise3sixty continues to educate travel agents and keep them informed of the latest and greatest news in the travel industry.

The leader in training for cruise industry professionals, Cruise3sixty brought over 2100 registrants to Vancouver and offered more educational programs than it has ever offered in the past.

In addition to their outstanding programs, Cruise3sixty featured a dynamic trade show, ship inspections, sessions with top cruise industry executives and several other sessions designed to enlighten agencies on how to offer the best possible service to their clients.

The conference’s Hall of Fame Gala paid tribute to several in the industry and featured entertainment by Blue Man Group and the award winning vocal quintet, 42five.

Another highlight of Cruise3sixty was a cocktail party hosted by Cruise Connections president, Sanjay Goel. Sanjay extended his hospitality to conference attendees, inviting them to his home for an evening of cocktails and canapés to celebrate the first ever Cruise3sixty in Vancouver.

Guests, including cruise line executives, the media and tourism professionals, enjoyed the culinary magic of award-winning chef David Hawksworth and cocktail creations by Jay Jones, Vancouver’s “Mixologist of the Year”

Other highlights of Sanjay’s gathering included an illusionist and British Columbia’s best wines, which were presented by noted wine critic David Scholefield.

From panel discussions and seminars to the gala and cocktail party, the Cruise3sixty conference was truly a success, as always. Next year’s Cruise3sixty conference will take place in what is often referred to as the cruiseship capital of the world: Florida.
