Are these Shore Excursions similar to those offered by the cruise lines?

Cruise Connections utilizes many of the same tour operators that the cruise lines use. In other words, we use the same helicopter and bus companies, as well as visit the same attractions. Often the tours are exactly the same. The biggest difference is that a private representative will meet you on arrival, plus you can reserve in advance, saving both time and money.

What weather causes a tour to be cancelled?

Should any tours you book with us be cancelled by the operators due to inclement weather or the ship not reaching port, a full refund will be issued.

Can I book the tours in this brochure when I get on the ship?

No, the exclusive excursions offered in advance to our clients cannot be reserved on board. These are only available in advance to our special clients and have nothing to do with those offered by the cruise line.

How do I know from where and at what time my tour departs?

The nice thing about pre-purchasing your Shore Excursions with us is that you'll receive your tour tickets in-hand before taking your cruise. These will have complete instructions as to where and when to meet our representative.

What do Shore Excursions include?

Shore excursions included transportation as indicated right from the ship, your professional tour guides, and any entrance fees that may apply.

What type of transportation is used for Shore Excursions?

Vehicles vary from tour to tour. These excursions utilize the best quality transportation possible; however, air-conditioned vehicles are not always available. If you are travelling with friends, you should leave the ship together, as this will help the tour staff ensure you travel together.

We've never been to these ports of call and want to do as much as possible in each port. Can we do more than one excursion?

Wherever possible, departure times are scheduled to permit participation on all of your chosen excursions. Our Alaska Experience Planners will work with you to ensure that you get the most out of your visit to each port. The listed excursions are designed and organized in such a way as to maximize your time in each port and yet allow you the chance to explore on your own.

If I take a tour will I miss meals?

We've designed our tours' departure times to complement the ship's meal services so you can enjoy your meal aboard the ship before you go ashore. However, on some full day tours, or if you take more than one tour in a day, your return on board may not coincide with meal hours. Not to worry, visit the Lido or Grill or order 24-hour complimentary room service.

Will I have time to shop?

Whenever possible, shopping time is allocated within the framework of the excursions.

Reservations can be made up to 10 days in advance of cruise departure date.

Tickets will be sent by email the next business day upon receipt of reservation if an email address is provided, or if you prefer by regular mail.

No re-imbursement will be made for tours cancelled within 21 days of the excursion. These excursions are provided by independent operators and are offered as a convenience to you but are in no way connected to those excursions offered onboard the ship. Cruise Connections Canada acts only as an agent in reserving your space and does not own or operate the excursions, and will not be held liable for any loss, injury, damage or costs and delays resulting from your participation. It shall be the participant's responsibility to be at the location designated at the time listed. Cruise Connections Canada reserves the right to modify or cancel any excursion should conditions warrant. Your participation in these excursions conveys your acceptance of these terms. No refunds can be made for failure to be at the designated departure location.
